Established in 1840, King's has been at the forefront of medical innovation for over 175 years. Today the Trust has over 1,500 beds, 55 state of the art theatres and over 13,500 committed members of staff across a wide range of clinical specialties, delivering over 1 million patient contacts each year.

King's is also a major trauma centre treating around 450 patients every day, and the award winning Channel 4 documentary series 24 Hours in A&E was filmed at King's.
