Biography
Dr Majid Kazmi is the Lead Cancer Clinician at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and also holds an honorary contract at King's College Hospital. Dr Kazmi has extensive experience in transplantation and has undertaken the largest number of transplants in the UK for auto-immune diseases including Crohn's disease, multiple sclerosis and inflammatory neuropathies. He is the UK lead for auto-immune diseases for the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Dr Kazmi also has a specialist clinical interest in myeloma and has been the UK Chief Investigator and Co-Investigator for a number of national and international studies. Dr Kazmi qualified from the University of Aberdeen in 1991 and started specialist training in Haematology in 1994. He has been a Consultant in haemato-oncology since 2001. Dr Kazmi has published over 30 peer reviewed papers, book chapter and articles. He lectures extensively on myeloma, transplantation as well as on infections and supportive cafe in haematology patients.
