Biography

Mr Parthi Srinivasan obtained his medical qualifications from the Madras Medical College, University of Madras in 1989. He was then trained in general surgery in the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom. Mr Srinivasan was awarded the Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow in 1993. After completion of Higher Surgical Training as a Calman Registrar in North London he was appointed to King’s College Hospital as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Liver Transplantation and Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery in 1997. Mr Srinivasan was awarded the Inter-Collegiate Fellowship (FRCS-Gen Surg) with sub speciality interest in Transplantation by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2003 after successfully passing the Inter-Collegiate exit examination held by the Royal Colleges of the United Kingdom. In 2006 he was appointed to the prestigious post of Consultant Surgeon in the field of Liver Transplantation, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery in King’s College Hospital, London. His clinical research interests include islet cell transplantation and he has helped to develop a successful programme at King’s. Mr Srinivasan's main interests include liver transplantation and transplantation from living donors, surgery for malignant diseases of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas and the application of modern techniques such as laparoscopic surgery in the management of patients with hepatopancreatobilliary diseases.
