Biography

Dr Sophie Jones is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in cornea, cataract and trauma at King's College Hospital.

Dr Jones has clinical and research interests in external eye disease, collagen cross-linking and outcomes following lamellar corneal transplantation. Her current position at a major trauma centre supports her clinical interest in visual rehabilitation after trauma and she is a founding member of the British Emergency Eye Care Society.

She undertook fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and King's College and completed higher specialist training with the London Deanery. She furthered her research experience at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, the Institute of Child Health and the Institute of Ophthalmology. She was awarded MD(Res) by University College London in 2011.
