Biography

Mr Kailani is a comprehensive Consultant Ophthalmologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.  He has a specialist interest in glaucoma surgery / laser treatment, Refractively optimised cataract surgery and Minimally-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS). 

Mr Kailani qualified in Medicine from King’s College London and completed his higher surgical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust, Western Eye Hospital (Imperial College Healthcare), and Guy’s and St.Thomas’ Hospital.

This has allowed him to gain expertise in eye surgery at world-renowned teaching hospitals – enabling him to deliver high-quality, safe care to his patients.  His academic research and teaching achievements have won prizes both nationally and internationally. 

He is also a reviewer of the British undergraduate Journal of Ophthalmology and a surgical trainer and educator.
